Nicole Cudzilo has been producing images since 2008. Primarily a self portrait photographer, she is drawn to color palette and form, frequently placing herself within a landscape to use her body’s relationship with the environment to create a narrative.

With a process that is slow and methodical, she often hikes into locations ladened with backpacks full of costuming and wigs which she then selects based on the landscape. She uses a tripod and self timer to fire a set of images, allowing her to fluidly move into slightly different positions to find the best pose for the environment.
